Our Story
The story of Unsukay began with Muss & Turner’s, a cozy deli and bistro nestled in the heart of Smyrna. Inspired by their shared love for good food and genuine hospitality, Ryan and Todd embarked on a culinary journey that would ultimately lead to the partnership with Chris Hall and the creation of Local Three, MTH Pizza, and Roshambo—all cherished destinations in Atlanta's vibrant dining scene.

Our Name
You're not alone if the word UNSŬKÁY leaves you scratching your head, let alone attempting to pronounce it. It's a completely made-up term that might seem vaguely Japanese, but it's actually pronounced with a French accent as 'doesn't suck.' This quirky term of endearment was coined by our original chef de cuisine at M&T, David Sturgis. While it may not directly explain what we do, it has certainly left a lasting impression on those who understand its meaning. At the heart of it, we take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
